All the desks and chairs are design with the standard dimensions, which only fit the need of a small population. People with long legs have to find space to crouch their legs underneath the desk without hitting any hardware; people with short legs need to find something to rest their feet. This need, though due to the deficiency in design, triggers the design for something new: The foot rest. The few selected foot rest are not only made of different shape and various materials, but also adjustable in height and aesthetically appealing. More importantly, they provide additional functions other than an elevated surface to rest the feet, such as massaging, keeping the feet warm, or even entertaining.
